Welcome
Welcome to my updated website. It changes to accommodate my variety of writing genres. Please, investigate each section that interests you.
New Release, Spring, 2013
My grandfather wrote sonnets and poems to his wife during their courtship and into the early years of their marriage. I've printed his writings in Sonnets For Ambrosia, a lovely book of poetry for 'that special someone' in your life. The book is a POD and is available through my website (www.paddyeger.com/sonnets) as a pre-ordered book. See the details in the Other portion of this website.
Educating America update
The award-winning Educating America: 101 Strategies for Adult Assistants in K-8 Classrooms received two new honorable mentions this month. Teachers are using the book as well as Educating America Desktop Flipbook as reminders to their classroom workers. Together the books provide a great pair of tools to help volunteers, teachers, para educators, and everyone interested in today's and tomorrow's education.
The educational blog continues. Signup to receive weekly ideas. In addition, checkout the Facebook page entitled Educating for Tomorrow's America information on CCSS, the new Common Core States Standards and other topics that support education.
Young Adult novels update
My initial YA book, 84 Ribbons, is coming in 2014. It starts the action for a trilogy of stories about young professional ballet dancers. The remaining two books that follow will appear as soon as the characters finish telling me their stories.
Then there's Tasman, an adventure story about a young man who faces hardships on the island of Tasmania in the 1850's. I'll keep you posted on the book's progress, so come back often.
